How to use our Services
Using our services is easy. Read all the pages under the info tab to familiarize yourself with our operation. After you've done that you can simply navigate your way through the 8mm and 16mm tabs to purchase film, processing and scanning individually or as bundles. If you have any trouble just drop us an email and we can lend a hand. After you've found the product you require add it to the basket and checkout. After payment has cleared you'll receive an order confirmation via email. Simply pop this order confirmation in an envelope with your film and post it to Gauge Film. If you don't have a printer just jot your name, address and order number down on a bit of paper and send that instead. We'll process your order and return it after the work is complete.
We set a deadline every three weeks on a Tuesday at 1pm for processing and scanning. Make sure your film arrives before the deadline timer reaches zero. If you are posting film the day before please make sure you send it via Special Delivery by 1pm. If you miss the deadline your film will fall in the next batch and you will have quite a wait on your hands. Film will be developed/scanned within the three week period and dispatched before the following deadline hits. Please don't chase your film if it falls within our schedule. Unnecessary correspondence can slow our small team down dramatically.
We take two weeks off over Christmas. This year we'll be taking a rest from processing and scanning from the 19th of December until the 2nd of January. This means the Christmas batch will be a five week turnaround instead of the usual three. It will run from the 18th of December until the 22nd of January.
