We Sell 8mm & 16mm Film in our Ecommerce Store
We specialize in Super 8, Double 8 and 16mm film. We are official Kodak and Wittner resellers. Our film stock range is always changing and this is determined by what's available at a particular moment in time. We were sad to see Kodak's Ektachrome 100D go at the end of 2012. It will undoubtedly be replaced by another film sock in the not to distant future but cine films recent history tells us just how ephemeral particular emulsions can be. The state of thing is transitory, always shifting (we like to call it slipping and sliding). Our advice is enjoy exsiting films while they are still here.
We don't support old film stocks like Kodachrome 40. The main reason we don't develop old (but very popular) stocks such as K40 is simply because it's long dead. As a culture we need to be investing in the future of film and not its past. We believe the best way to do this is by spending our time, effort and money on shooting new cine film with modern, environmentally friendly chemical processes's. Don't get us wrong, we love K40 as much as you do but we are on a mission to keep film alive in the 21st century. Processing outdated stock goes against that philosophy. We could offer a K40 service and get bucket loads of money from doing it but we're just not that sort of business.
On a more practical note we are the only lab left in the UK to offer the whole post production package. We sell film, do the developing and offer a high quality scanning service all under one roof. All other UK companies (to the best of our knowledge) post film to Andec in Germany to be developed.
