8mm and 16mm Processing
Our processing standards are excellent. We have been processing all sorts of film since 2011 and we utilise both hand processing and machine processing in our workflow.
We machine process 8mm negative film with our new machine processor. We process all colour negative film in ECN-2 chemistry and all B&W negative film in Xtol. If you're not sure if your film is ECN-2 or Xtol compatible please drop us a message and we can advise.
We are not currently pushing/ pulling 8mm negative film. This is because we are making a lot of incremental changes on a weekly basis to get the best possible results. As soon as we've settled on a preferred workflow we can start pushing/ pulling film.
At the moment we send all of our 16mm processing to Cinelab. We hope to be able to process 16mm negative with our own machine processor very soon. We can push and pull 16mm negative film at extra cost.
We hand process all reversal film due to low volume. Hand processing allows us to mix up relatively small amounts of chemistry and keep turnaround times down. We process all colour reversal film in E-6 chemistry and we process all B&W reversal film in D-19 chemistry. If you're not sure if your film is E-6 or D-19 compatible please drop us a message and we can advise.
We hand process three 8mm reversal films per tank. Unfortunately this makes it very difficult to push or pull 8mm films individually.
16mm reversal films get processed individually so we can push and pull 16mm reversal film at extra cost.
