Telecine Upgrades

Over the last couple of weeks I've been upgrading the telecine machine. We're now using a better camera and macro lens configuration (top secret information). This upgrade has really improved quality because now I can stay within the optical zoom range of the camera and don't have to rely on the digital zoom whatsoever. The quality boost will mostly benefit Still Image Sequence users (because there is very little compression). It'll also make a huge difference to the colour negative crowd because the new sensors colour rendition for neg is way better than our old Panny sensor which made reds pink. The standard telecine reversal user will also see an improvement but the obligatory 20% compression to allow the video files to play on standard computers with HDD naturally takes some spunk out of the image. I'll be uploading a new negative test today so stay tuned. Every time I hear the word upgrades:
